Talked to my mom today. She said she fell yesterday getting up from the couch, and her knees just buckled under her. She fell hard enough onto the coffee table that she knocked out her front tooth. She saw the dentist today and, because that tooth is a cap and replacing it involves some dealings with her gums and because she is a heart patient and on bloodthinners, the dentist recommended she has the gum work done at the hospital by an oral surgeon so that nurses et. Al. Are at hand in case there is significant bleeding involved.

Sheapos;s also having problems keeping her hemoglobin up. Today when she had her blood check, her red count was down to 6, so now they are sending her to see an oncologist.

On and on and on and on and on it goes. Things have to start looking up soon for her, donapos;t they?

I didnapos;t go my own doctor appointment today, or have my blood drawn.

Instead, I stayed home and slept, and painted my nails sheer pink with silver glitter. My fingernails look like tiny universes full of sparkling stars.
